Bio
I am Carmen Lemell a Convergent Journalist. I was born in Sacramento, California but I moved to Versailles, Missouri during the 2000s recession. My mother and father never married and they aren’t together but they work hard together to make sure I succeed in whatever I do. I have a brother who is four years older than me and two brothers who are thirteen years younger than me. I Have a dog named Josie and a hamster named Akida; named after the princess in the Disney movie Atlantis. I love playing games on my Nintendo Switch, reading books, going to the gym, and hanging out with my friends.

Looking back I didn’t have many worthwhile experiences when I lived in California; it wasn’t until we moved to Missouri that I realized what snow was, I learned what friends were and how to make great friendships, and the wonders of reading. After developing a passion for reading I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in writing. During my college years I have had the luck of being a Griffon News reporter for the lifestyles and news desk, one semester I was the lifestyles editor, and for a summer internship, I was able to land a paid journalism internship at my hometown's newspaper. During my internship, I realized that I loved having both a desk job and a field job; I was able to go out in the field to interview citizens for stories and take pictures of events and once back at the office I would edit those pictures, create a story from said interviews, and create the layout for that week's paper. During my internship, I grew more passionate about my career and more excited for my future.
